Himotsav 2025 Concludes at SRHU: Rahul and Sonali Named Best Athletes

197 Students Honored with Awards in Sports, Academics, and Literary Achievements

The three-day Foundation Day celebrations, Himotsav 2025, concluded at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jollygrant, with a grand felicitation ceremony at Adikailash Auditorium. The event recognized students for their excellence in academics, sports, and literary pursuits.

Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Higher Education, Uttarakhand, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and honored the meritorious students. In his address, he encouraged students to remain humble in success and contribute to India's vision of a developed nation. He urged them to stay away from substance abuse and strive for continuous growth, acknowledging the significant role of Himalayan Hospital in providing affordable healthcare through Ayushman Bharat. He also extended his congratulations to SRHU for securing an A+ grade from NAAC.

Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, President, SRHU, highlighted the university’s strides in education, healthcare, and self-employment. He emphasized the importance of perseverance and consistency in achieving success, reinforcing SRHU’s commitment to holistic development.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Dobhal welcomed the dignitaries and reiterated SRHU’s dedication to value-based education. During the event, the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) was adjudged the Best College in Inter-School Sports, with Principal Prof. Ashok Kumar Deorari receiving the trophy.

Rahul Negi from the Himalayan School of Science & Technology and Sonali Negi from the Himalayan College of Nursing were awarded the Best Athlete awards. A total of 118 Academic Awards, 24 Diplomas, and 55 Sports & Literary Awards were presented to students for their outstanding achievements.
